Management Team

Mark E. Jensen – President & Executive Producer

Convention Television-Digital (CTV-d) President and Executive Producer Mark Jensen has been actively involved in the visitor/hospitality industry for over 25 years.  In that time, Jensen has pioneered numerous interactive & linear communications platforms, such as “Info-Vision”,  during the 1980’s, a laser disc based interactive network of kiosks, with “live, bi lingual operators” located at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.  Info-Vision was also successfully introduced to the Los Cerritos Shopping Center, outside of Los Angeles, CA.

Back in Honolulu, Jensen and team were selected by the City & County of Honolulu, to design and build its first truly interactive project, “Call On City Hall” under the administration of then Mayor, Frank Fasi.  Pre Internet Era, Call On City Hall featured current information from 17 City Departments, and on board printer, and the network of 7 kiosks were located at high traffic locations such as next to Center Stage, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Windward Mall, Hawaii Kai Shopping Center, and others.

Convention Television (CTV) was created as the new Hawaii Convention Center was being build.  Jensen partnered with then Oceanic Cable (now Time+Warner, Inc.) to create a narrowcasted channel reaching some 28,000 hotel rooms in Waikiki, including the major properties needed to access and serve all City Wide conventions held in Honolulu.  CTV was an immediate success early on, serving the needs of Associations such as PCMA, the American Bar Association, American Orthodontist Association, and the National Association of Realtors.  Many of these ‘legacy clients” signed long term agreements with CTV to produce their shows each year in various cities across the country.

CTV was awarded the prestigious contract to produce the 2011 APEC-TV by the APEC Hawaii Host Committee.  APEC was an enormous opportunity for Hawaii to shine as a global destination for Meetings and Conventions, as well as for international summits such as APEC.

APEC-TV with its need to reach out Globally, helped to generate a fundamental paradigm shift to CTV’s core product, and delivery mode.  It was clear that CTV needed to up its game to remain competitive in the new digital era.  Jensen spearheaded the development of what is now CTV-d or Digital.  Dynamic, compelling content is still created for each client, the content however, is now able to be repurposed to platforms such as the internet, and all smart devices so prevalent in today’s world of communications.

Recently, Jensen has lead CTV-d to a new frontier, corporate meetings and incentives held on single properties. Current clients include Hilton, Sheraton & Marriott Hotels.

Major Convention Center clients such as The Moscone Center, and The Hawaii Convention Center remain a major focus.
